Event Promotes Family Shooting Sports, Raises Thousands to Benefit Ripon Youth Programs

RIPON, CA — The Ripon Quarterback Club, a volunteer organization that has raised and donated almost a million dollars to support local youth sports, today announced that it will host its first trap shoot. The event will promote the benefits of shooting sports for families, teams and individuals, and raise money to support the wide range of activities available to the youth of Ripon.
“For more than 35 years, the Ripon Quarterback Club has helped fund everything from sporting equipment to entry fees for the kids of Ripon. In response to community growth and demand for more opportunities to get involved, we are adding our first shooting event to our fund-raising schedule,” said Ripon Quarterback Club President Dan Gall. “Since 1983, we’ve raised almost a million dollars in support of local sports. We hope to continue this tradition with this latest event.”
Family Night at the Shooting Range will be hosted on July 20 at the Escalon Sportsman’s Club at the corner of River Road and McHenry Avenue in Escalon. Registration starts at 2 PM and concludes at 11 PM. In addition to the trap competition, the club is featuring tournaments for corn hole, Nerf shooting, horse shoes, youth activities, dinner, drinks and more. Prizes will be awarded to the first place team, first place individual, first place youth team under 16, and first place individual under 16. This is going to be one of the most fun-filled family-oriented days we’ve sponsored.”

About the Ripon Quarterback Club

The Ripon Quarterback Club was founded in 1983 by 12 members that wanted to help the Ripon High Indians purchase game jerseys for football. This group of men volunteered their time to help raise money for this noble cause. After accomplishing this goal, the men officially started the Quarterback Club because they saw the need for other youth sports in Ripon that needed help financially for their sports. Fast forward 35 years and the club has evolved to 60 members, all with the same goal of volunteering their time to youth sports in Ripon California. We also have been very active in helping our local boys and girls youth organizations in the Ripon. Just in the last 10 years, we were fortunate enough to donate almost $1 Million to various youth organizations in our town. This all would not be possible without the excellent support we have received from businesses and people in the community.
